Laboratory Medicine Reseach and Development

  • R&D Day 2008

    HAN 3330

The public focus of attention in the NHS in recent times is all too often on targets and efficiencies and too seldom on the science of medical advances. These are the seed corn of future treatments and are in every way to be valued. Its not easy to create a scientific study, fund it, carry it out and prepare it for presentation especially when this is done in spare time.

In putting together this programme the Laboratory Medicine Directorate has shown the richness of its talent and enthusiasm. Every facet of laboratory activity is represented and there are numerous examples of synergies between interested researchers.

It will be a marvellous, stimulating event and brings great credit to both organisers and participants. Have an outstanding day.
